My Fellow Hikers:

Join our lovely hostess Andrea for an Adventure that will surely remain firmly ensconced in your memory banks for a very long time. We will paddle our Kayaks and Canoes across the broad expanses of beautiful Lake Murray to visit some of the dozens of islands scattered around our lake.

We will beach the boats, have some snacks, go wadding and swimming and otherwise enjoy the cool waters and awesome natural surroundings, before returning to shore later in the afternoon.

We will meet at Andrea's house in Lexington only a few miles from the dam. Directions will be given to those who RSVP "yes" for this event. From there we will caravan to out to our put-in point at the Lake Murray Dam.

Drive: Minimal
Paddle: Easy
Difficulty: Not
Pleasure: Complete

Important Note:

This event is family friendly, kids are welcome when accompanied by a parent.

Kayak or canoe
Paddle(s)
Life vest
Whistle
Water
Snacks

New Safety Policy: This may sound a little bit strange, but now applies to paddling related events. Since this is a family friendly event, and because open water functions can be inherently dangerous, we kindly request that all participants refrain from consuming any alcoholic beverages while paddling on any body of water.
