My Fellow Hikers:

Bring your own folding chair. Thanks!

I'm pleased to announce the latest installment of our most popular monthly function. Join the Host with the most, Richard as he opens his home for the Hiking Club's June Pot Luck Dinner Party.

Richard lives in beautiful Irmo, SC and directions will be forwarded to those who RSVP "yes" to this event.

For those of you who don't already know, a party at Richard's house is something that you can not miss.

This month's theme is "Bring some Fireworks". Our gracious host asks that each guest bring not only a food dish to share with the group, but also a huge sack-full of big and powerful fireworks, and perhaps some emergency bail money as well.

An event of this magnitude will surely fill up quickly. Participation is limited so don't delay, RSVP NOW! Last month's Pot Luck Dinner sold-out in 8 hours and 22 minutes, Richard's Party will surly sell-out as quickly.

For further information and the required Liability Waiver please contact Richard

Sincerely,

John

Is there a list of food items that everyone is bringing yet? I'm thinking of bringing some herbed corn on the cob or maybe even a homemade cheese cake. Which would y'all prefer?

I can't wait to see you and Scottie, but I will be on my way back from doing my Nav cert dive, so I may be a little late!

Nick, We have made arrangements for the kids to be elsewhere for the party. Leaving it BYOB in case people want to drink, so might not remain kid-friendly enough for kids.

Yes, this event is still on for this weekend :) Doing work on house & yard to prep for it. Cobble pavers just delivered this weekend, starting the new back patio & pavilion (just jack-hammered out the old dog run fencing two weeks ago). Put a canopy over the back 10x10 wood floor for a dance floor. Hoping to run xmas lights for extra outdoor lighting. Have room for 50-ish people. Parking mainly at the tennis park 2.5 blocks from our home. Directions & phone # no later than Tuesday.

Is this going to be a family friendly event to include kids?
