What are the details of the fall Oconee trip? I see some people have already paid.

Hey,
I'm hosting this event. We did a similar trip on April 18th-check the calendar for more details.
We all had such a nice time the first time, we decided to go again in the fall. Most everyone either gave me a deposit or already paid in full ($20 deposit, $30 full pmt). That does not include food, and deposits are only refundable if someone is able to take your spot. There are only 2 bathrooms in the barrack, so the group is limited to 12. There are also cabins available and tent sites at Oconee State Park, so others may participate but must take care of their own reservations.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

In case anyone is wondering, this meeting is full (for now). And it has been moved to November.
There are great lake-side cabins to rent as well, in case anyone is interested in renting one.

Oh, darn. Was this something you had been trying to plan on the singles site? That sounds really cool. Do you have a waiting list?

Post a hiking event on the Single's site?? Williesha, that would be committing a cardinal sin!laughing
As I said, we did this event in April and had a great time, so we decided to do it again in the Fall. Most of the original group paid right away, and I have the barracks rented at Oconee State Park. I haven't actually posted the event yet b/c the hiking details have not been ironed out. I have little experience hiking in that area, so I need to get with a couple of more experienced folks before I do. I'm hoping to hike between 5-10 miles on Sat. and something a little easier on Sunday.
As for the waiting list, you'll be the first one on it!
