There is supposed to be a lot of good hiking and rafting, and we could try to do some of the things in either of these tour's itineraries: http://www.chinahighl... OR http://www.wulingyuan...

To get there, we can take a HK$100 bus ride to Shenzhen Airport either from Wanchai (1.5 hours) or Kowloon (1.25 hours, http://www.chinalink....) PLUS two one-way flights (SZX=Shenzhen, DYG=Zhiangjiajie nr Wulingyuan), CAN=Guangzhou):
June 27: CZ3385 SZX [ 19:25 ] DYG [ 20:45 ] ~1000 CNY (via CTrip.com)
July 1: CZ3386 DYG [ 19:30 ] CAN [ 21:00 ] ~670 CNY (via Ctrip.com)

If interested, there are other options that are less expensive that I can pass onto you, but we would have to figure out how to meet up in Wulingyuan Park. Everyone is responsible for booking their own flights.

As for lodging, there are a number of hostels/hotels listed in the Hotel link at this site: http://www.wulingyuan... and in my guidebook that we can try to agree upon as a group.

By the way, If you can speak Mandarin (and don't mind being an occasional translator), you are especially welcome to join along !!!
