Yellow Mountain - 4 days Tour and Hike

The craggy rock faces, hanging mists and clustered pines of Huang Shan (the Yellow Mountains) create a lovely and distinctly Chinese landscape, one instantly recognizable from countless images on silk, paper and porcelain.

The mountain range, consisting of 72 peaks over 1,000 m (3,300 ft), spills across the southern province of Anhui in an exquisite jumble of scenic highlights?twisted lone pines clinging to stony spires, seas of clouds filling rugged valleys, and crystalline mountain spring-fed pools.

Hikers have two basic choices of paths: Eastern and Western Steps. The former is the easier of the two; the latter the more scenic and rugged. The area in the north of the mountain range is connected to the two paths by a Peak Circuit trail (often the area is referred to as the "Summit," though it is comprised of a number of peaks) which affords glorious views of the "cloud seas" and even offers a measure of privacy as one gets further from the cable car terminals.

Day 1 - Gathering at 12:00pm, Hunghom Train Station, Take train of 12:30pm, Hunghom - Guangzhou East Station

6 Jun 08 : Flight from Guangzhou to Huangshan (only one flight dep18:30, arr 20:10), stay in 4 star hotel in Tunxi.

Day 2 - 7 Jun 08 : Car ride to Yellow Mountain early morning. South Gate(bus)--- Cloud Valley Temple(Yun Gu Si), (hike on the mountain or cable car if you want to keep some energy for the next day)--- White Goose Ridge(Bai E Ling)--- Black Tiger Pine(Hei Hu Song)--- Beginning-to-Believe Peak(Shi Xin Feng)--- Black Tiger Pine(Hei Hu Song)----Stay at the hotel in Peak area

Day 3 - 8 Jun 08 : Get up early in the morning to catch the magical sunrise. Bright Summit (Guang Ming Ding);----United Pine (Tuan Jie Song)----West Sea (Xi Hai)--- Cloud Dispersing Pavilion(Pai Yun Ting)--- West Sea Grand Canyon(Xi Hai Da Xia Gu) -- BuXian Bridge--- Heaven Capital Peak(Tian Du Feng)---go down Mt.----Stay in Tunxi---

West-Sea Grand Canyon is route with the combination of best view and assortment. Every step reveals a breath-taking view. This newly-developed scenic area allows tourists to linger half way up the cliff to view is magic world West Sea Scenic Area, Bright Summit, Heaven Sea and White Cloud Scenic Area make a small circle to divert the tourist flow and to allow for better angles to en' fantastic views. Also this is a passage leading to the west gate of the mountain to Three Water Mouth, Hook Bridge Nunnery, Jiaocun town, and is a quiet and pretty world of its own.

Day 4 - 9 Jun 08 : Car ride around an hour to Hongcun. Day tour of Hongcun.

Hongcun Ancient Village: It's located in the place which is about 10 km off the northeast part of Yixian County, 65km from Tunxi . An ancient town over 800 years old leaning against Mt. Huangshan, it is folded in the fog of the Mt. which makes it look like a river and mountain picture. It enjoys the reputation of "The Chinese town in the pictures". Especially, the whole town distributes like a "cow", which made it one of the wonders in the world culture heritage. The famous film "Crouching Tiger and hidden Dragon" was made here.

We will take night flight Huangshan to Guanzhou or afternoon flight Hangzhou to Shenzhen back.
